Memorialize Your Loved Ones
Remember Your Loved One with a Table or Bench
The City of Dallas has received requests for donations to the Parks Division including bench and picnic table commemoration opportunities. In an effort to meet the needs of the community while enhancing the amenities throughout our parks system, the staff has prepared the following Commemorative Bench and Picnic Table Program guidelines. The creation of special guidelines will ensure ongoing, equitable donation opportunities for individuals and organizations and will maximize community benefit.
The Application Process
Members of the public may submit requests to sponsor a commemorative bench or picnic table to the Parks Division for consideration using a standard Commemorative Bench and Picnic Table Program Donation Request Form (available below).
Donation request forms are available from the:
187 S.E. Court St.
Dallas, OR 97338
You may also call 503.831.3502 or access the information below. Completed donation request forms should be delivered to the Department of Parks Department at the above address.
Supporting Local Nonprofit Organizations
The money generated from the sale of the bricks will go into the Park Trust Fund to help finance the completion of the Rickreall Creek Trail and a substantial portion will go to local nonprofit organizations.
The donor of the brick can choose an organization listed on the order form or apply to have a nonprofit organization added (see below). The donor may also choose to have all of the proceeds go to the Park Trust Fund. Up to $75 will be donated for every brick purchased; $50 will go to the local nonprofit as chosen by the donor and, when a symbol is added to the engraving of the brick, another $25 will go to that same nonprofit organization.
The City of Dallas has special programs for nonprofit organization fundraising efforts as part of our brick campaign. If you would like more information please email Nancy Woolsey or contact the City of Dallas Public Works Department at 503.831.3548. Organizations receiving funds through this program must be 501(c)3 nonprofit and approved by the City Manager's Office.
