Municipal Court
Responsibilities & Services
The Dallas Municipal Court prosecutes traffic and ordinance violations occurring within the City limits. The court has jurisdiction over all City and state offenses committed within the City limits of Dallas, excluding misdemeanor and felony matters. The court does
not handle juvenile, divorce, bankruptcy, civil or small claims cases.
Court is held every Thursday at 9:00 am, the first and third Tuesday of
each month at 1:30 pm, and the second and fourth Wednesday of each month
at 2:00 pm in the Council Chambers on the second floor of Dallas City
Hall. The Court Room is wheelchair accessible.
Staff

Special Accommodations
A Spanish interpreter is available upon request. Interpreter services and special needs can usually be accommodated if the Court is notified two weeks in advance.
