Registration & Permits
Bicycle Registration
The Records Section provides bicycle registration to residents of the City of Dallas. Registration forms are available at the front office. To complete the form you will need the following information from the bike:
  • Brand
  • Color
  • Model
  • Serial number
  • Speed
  • Wheel Size

The information will be kept on file in case of loss or theft.

Itinerant Merchant Registration
An itinerant merchant refers to a business or services provided from a temporary location, such as a parking lot. The City of Dallas requires an itinerant merchant to obtain a permit for such services. Permit applications may be picked up from the Community Development Office located in City Hall. A background check will be conducted. There is a $10 fee for the permit.

Pursuant to Dallas City Code 7.610, a solicitor register in person and obtain a Certificate of Registration from the City Manager's Office:
