Traffic Violations
Rules & Regulations
The Court does not require a personal appearance on traffic violations. The Court has in place a Violations Bureau, which has the authority to take a plea on a traffic violation case and assess a fine based on a schedule set by the Court. Options for entering pleas are set forth on the back of the traffic citation.

A plea of "not guilty" or "no contest" can be entered on traffic infractions. If a "not guilty" plea is entered, the case will be set for trial at a later date. If a plea of "no contest" is entered, bail in the amount shown on the ticket as "presumptive fine" should be posted unless otherwise instructed by the Court Clerk.
