Report Copies
The Records Section provides copies of requested reports as required in accordance with the Oregon Public Records Laws. Copies of reports may be obtained at the office or through written request.

A minimum fee of $5 must be made prior to reports being copied. For reports having more than five pages, a charge of $1 per page will be added. Requests will take between three to five business days to process.

State Traffic Accident Reports
An Oregon Traffic Accident and Insurance Report Form is available at the front office at the Dallas Police Department. You must file this report with Oregon DMV when involved in a traffic crash if any of the following apply:

• A vehicle involved is towed from the scene as a result of damages
• Damage to any one person's property over $1,500
• Damage to your vehicle is over $1,500
• There was a death in the crash
• There was an injury (no matter how minor)

Oregon law requires these reports to be filed within 72 hours of the crash. They should be returned to a DMV office.
