Caution About Solicitations

The City of Dallas requires any solicitor to first register with us, providing information about the people who will be soliciting as well as the company on whose behalf they are soliciting. All registered solicitors will receive a registration certificate from the City before they are allowed to knock on any doors. This certificate is not an endorsement by the City of Dallas or any of its officers or employees. In fact, we urge you to be cautious when dealing with any door-to-door solicitors.

For valuable information about your rights when dealing with solicitors, we encourage you to visit the Oregon Department of Justice’s Consumer Protection website by clicking the link below. You can also file a complaint through this website.

Solicitations can also be received through the mail. Residents may be receiving solicitations from HomeServe USA Repair Management Corp., offering water service line coverage for repairs to your water line between your home and the city’s water line. HomeServe is in no way affiliated with the City of Dallas. You should consider the solicitation carefully. Your homeowner insurance may already cover repairs to your water line.
