The City of Dallas has three employee associations:
The Dallas Police Employees Association, consisting of all full-time sworn Police Officers of the Dallas Police Department, except for the positions of Chief of Police, Lieutenants, Sergeants, and other managerial, confidential, temporary, casual, or seasonal members. The contracts with DPEA are negotiated for a two-year period. The 2016-2018 contract, which became effective July 1, 2016, and including all MOUs, can be viewed here.
Polk County Professional Fire Fighters Association (International Association of Firefighters Local 4196) consists of all regular, full-time Emergency Medical Technicians, currently classified as Paramedics and Paramedic Shift Lieutenants, employed by the City of Dallas, excluding supervisors, confidential employees, and any temporary or casual employees. These contracts are negotiated for a three-year period. The current agreement is available by clicking the link.
American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees Council 75, Local 173-3 consists of all regular (non-temporary or seasonal) full time employees of the City, excluding confidential and supervisory employees as defined under ORS 243.650 and employees represented by other labor organizations and employees in the Fire/EMS Department. Our first contract was ratified July 19, 2017 and covers a three year period. The 2017-2020 contract can be viewed here.
